If you are coming by car exit the A47 at junction 16. From either direction exit the A47 on to Bretton Gate, then at the next roundabout take the 4th exit on to Rightwell East (signposted to the Cresset), then left on to Rightwell West – not in to the Marks and Spencer and petrol station!
PARKING
The Cresset has over 120 free car parking spaces on site. There will be parking marshals on hand to direct you to spaces. If the Cresset car park is full we suggest you try the shopping centre car park (PE3 8DA) a little further along Bretton Way but be warned it has a FOUR HOUR LIMIT. It’s a 5 minute walk from there to the Cresset entrance. You may also find parking on nearby residential streets but please observe double yellow lines and other restrictions and park responsibly. PLEASE CAR SHARE WHERE POSSIBLE!
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you’re coming by public transport you’ll need to take bus number 3 from Queensgate bus station bay 2 to Bretton Centre. It runs every 30 minutes on Sundays leaving Queensgate at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour, returning from Bretton Centre at 24 and 54 minutes past. Journey time is approximately 25 minutes. Fare is currently £3.00 single each way (cheaper than a day ticket!). Note that bus number 2 also runs from Queensgate to Bretton Centre and v.v. but is slower.
FOOD AND DRINK
The Cresset will be providing catering for our event. To eat in the morning there will be a selection of breakast rolls, with hot food such as chips and pizza being available midday until approximately 3pm. There will also be hot and cold drinks and hopefully the licensed bar will be open too. Food will be found in the long corridor leading away from the smaller of the two halls – look for internal signage! The Cresset also has its own pub, The Fayre Spot. If you’d prefer something different, Bretton Centre is a few minutes walk away where you’ll find a Sainsbury’s Aldi and a Costa.
